Natural stone is not fragile. It is simply a material that rewards the right habits.
Daily: dust mop or wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner. Dry the surface after cleaning.
Avoid: vinegar, lemon, bleach, ammonia and acidic bathroom cleaners. These etch polished marble and dull the surface.
Spills: blot, do not wipe. Wine, oil, coffee and turmeric should be lifted immediately with a white paper towel.
Heat: use a trivet. Do not place hot pans directly on polished stone.
Sealing: marble and quartzite benefit from a penetrating sealer. Frequency depends on the finish and use; we advise on the specific slab.
| Do | Use coasters, trivets and felt pads. Wipe spills immediately. Use pH-neutral cleaner. |

| Don't | Use vinegar, lemon, bleach or abrasive powders. Don't let water sit at the edges. |
| Outdoor | Use a honed or brushed finish; polished surfaces are slippery when wet. |
| Stain removal | Oil and organic stains need a poultice. Ask us before trying a household remedy. |
